We’re All About Local

Did you realize that we have over 110 vendors – all right here from Grafton, Sullivan, Orange and Windsor counties? We have 50 vendors each week but some only come occasionally. You can find a list of vendors on our web page at Vendors & Links. For the Winter Markets we’ll have 30-40 vendors in the warmth of Tracy Hall.

Gourds, pumpkins and squash are all getting sweeter  –  Brussel sprouts have filled out

Parsnips and carrots are loving the cool weather

Apples are flowing from crates  –  and cider is ready for mulling

There are always warm, fresh baked goods and something warm to drink

Winter Storage

Now is a good time to start thinking about filling the pantry. Squash, apples, potatoes, carrots and other root vegetables can be stored in cool, dark areas of your cellar. Each fruit of vegetable needs just the right environment so ask the vendors the best way to keep a little bit of the summer with you all year round. And of course there’s canning and freezing. Stock up now with local food all winter long.

And some of our vendors offer winter shares that will provide you with off-season options for local veggies and meat.
