Winter Markets will run through April of 2013. Markets will take place on Saturdays from 10-1 (take note that market starts an hour later than the summer) and take place at Tracy Hall in downtown Norwich. We’ll still have a great selection of vendors that bring the same high quality produce, meats, eggs, baked and other prepared good, alonside some of the best atisan crafts all in the warm, cozy environment of a grand old brick Georgian Revival building so familiar in New England.

Winter Storage

Now is a good time to start thinking about filling the pantry. Squash, apples, potatoes, carrots and other root vegetables can be stored in cool, dark areas of your cellar. Each fruit of vegetable needs just the right environment so ask the vendors the best way to keep a little bit of the summer with you all year round. And of course there’s canning and freezing. Stock up now with local food all winter long.

And some of our vendors offer winter shares that will provide you with off-season options for local veggies and meat.

Here are some photos from the Quechee Area Camera Club. They spent a morning at market in June and took some Spectacular PhotosContact Lisa Lacasse for arrangements to use the photos.
